Welcome to Travel with Toddlers.

Hi, I’m Kayla. I’m a travel writer based in New England. I’ve spent the last two years postpartum exploring all over the place with my little one in tow — and now I’m going to bring you along with me. Subscribe for semi-weekly travel dispatches, kid-friendly hotel reviews, and hopefully a few interviews from other travel parents with their advice.

We’ll cover a lot.

You’ll see a lot of different perspectives about toddler travel in your inbox, not just mine. Some sample topics you’ll read about:

  • Choosing baby or toddler-friendly destinations that you can get around with a stroller

  • Destination guides that include playgrounds, farms, hiking trails, beaches, and other places the entire family can enjoy so you don’t have to spend a day sitting on a bench at a children’s museum

  • The gear that makes travel easier (and what you don’t need)

  • Hotels that actually cater to babies and toddlers and what real parents think about them

I hope you’ll join us. Traveling with toddlers is not for the faint of heart but we’re out here, we’re doing it—and you deserve to have fun, too.

Ways to support Travel with Toddlers

  1. Subscribe! I offer both free and paid options.

  1. Check out my library of destination guides. I totally get that not everyone wants *another* paid subscription, but if you’re planning a trip to a specific destination with a toddler in tow, I GOT YOU. I only write guides for destinations I know really, really well and have brought my toddler along, so you’re getting a true insider guide with these.

  1. Buy gear through one of my links. I use affiliate links when applicable for baby and toddler gear. I always recommend finding these secondhand if you can (I’m a big fan of FB Marketplace and local consignment sales) but if you’re considering purchasing one of these items new and it’s my recommendation that tips you into clicking the buy button, please consider going through one of my affiliate links. I earn a (very small) commission if you do so, at no extra charge to you.

Thanks for reading.

So far, our family has focused mainly on New England travel, with a few longer trips to the Caribbean and to Disney World. I hope you’ll join me here with tips from my travels as well as real talk from other travel parents on how they survive (and maybe even thrive) when they leave home.

Thanks,

Kayla
